When to move up from Easy

Switch to Medium when Easy grids feel automatic — you finish without notes and rarely use hints. Medium is the daily-practice level: long enough to warm up your attention, short enough to complete in a break.

If you bounce between guessing and deleting digits, stay on Easy a little longer. Medium rewards patience, not speed. The goal is to prove each placement, not to fill cells hoping they are right.

Techniques that show up on Medium

You will still use naked and hidden singles, but they appear later in the solve. Mark candidates in crowded boxes so you can see when a digit is locked to one cell. Auto-clearing notes on this site remove a candidate from peers when you place a confirmed digit, which keeps the grid honest.

Medium puzzles on Sudoku Learn use fewer givens than Easy (roughly the low thirties). The unique-solution check still applies, so if you are stuck the issue is a missed candidate, not an unsolvable grid.

Print Medium for offline practice

A printed Medium grid is a good paper workout: enough empty cells to need notes, not so many that you need advanced patterns. Print Puzzle during the game for a blank sheet; Print Result after a finish if you want a record of the time.
