Why Sudoku?
Sudoku is a logic puzzle, not a math test. You don't need to add, multiply, or guess β just think clearly and place the numbers 1 through 9 so that every row, every column, and every 3Γ3 box contains each digit exactly once.
- Strengthen logical reasoningβ Every move follows from deduction, not luck.
- Improve concentrationβ A single puzzle demands sustained focus.
- Reduce stressβ Many players find the structured thinking calming and meditative.
- Keep your mind activeβ A daily puzzle is a simple, enjoyable brain workout.
You don't need special skills to start. If you can count to nine, you can play Sudoku.

A Brief History of Sudoku
Although number-placement puzzles appeared in 19th-century French newspapers, the modern Sudoku we know today was developed in Japan in the late 1970s. The name comes from the Japanese phrase sΕ«ji wa dokushin ni kagiru β "the digits must be single" (each number appears only once). Sudoku went global around 2005, when newspapers worldwide began publishing daily puzzles. Today, millions of people play Sudoku online and on paper every day β making it one of the most popular puzzles in the world.
