Easy Sudoku Online
Easy Sudoku is the gentlest way to learn the game. Each grid starts with more given numbers, so you can see how rows, columns, and 3×3 boxes constrain each other without getting stuck on the first empty cell.
Play Easy SudokuWho Easy puzzles are for
If you have never finished a Sudoku, start here. Easy puzzles teach the scanning habit: look for a row, column, or box that already has many digits, then fill the obvious missing number. You do not need algebra — only the rule that 1–9 appear once in each unit.
Easy is also useful for children practicing concentration, or for experienced players who want a quick warm-up before a harder grid. Because more cells are filled at the start, mistakes are easier to spot and correct.
How Easy puzzles work on this site
Sudoku Learn generates a new Easy puzzle each time you press Play. The generator keeps more givens than Medium or Hard, typically around forty clues, and every puzzle has a unique solution so guessing is never required.
Use Number mode to place confirmed digits. When two or three candidates remain in a cell, switch to Notes and mark them. Easy grids often resolve with naked singles (only one digit fits a cell) and hidden singles (a digit can go in only one cell of a unit).
Print an Easy grid
Open the puzzle, then choose Print Puzzle. The browser print dialog shows the 9×9 board with givens only, so you can solve on paper — in class, on a commute, or away from the screen. After you finish online, Print Result keeps a copy with your time.
Easy-level tips
- Start with the box or line that already has the most numbers.
- Place a digit as soon as it has only one legal cell in a unit.
- If you feel stuck, take a hint — Easy still trains the same logic you will need later.
Easy Sudoku FAQ
- Is Easy Sudoku still real Sudoku?
- Yes. The rules are identical: each row, column, and 3×3 box must contain 1–9 once. Easy only means more starting clues, not a different puzzle type.
- Can I print Easy puzzles for free?
- Yes. Generate a puzzle on the Play page and use Print Puzzle. No account or download is required; printing uses your browser.
